At our essence we are all one with God/Divine/Source but when we choose to experience a human life we choose to also experience having an ego.
This ego runs a very
specific program (like a computer program running through your brain) that is constantly telling you that you're broken and everything you're looking for, including the Divine, is found outside of yourself.
From a comics perspective (I'm a fan), it's like you're a superhero but a chip (the ego chip) has been installed in your brain that, not only blocks your memories of who you really are, but it also feeds you lies
about who you are.
It makes sense, then, that your ego comes up with goals designed to fix,
legitimize and validate you because its operating from a program that says you're not enough.
But this means that even if you reach those ego-led goals you will ultimately not find true happiness and satisfaction because the ego is designed to always keep you looking outside of yourself.
As the spiritual text, A Course in Miracles
says, the ego's mantra is, Look but never find.
On the other hand, your wise Soul knows you're one with the Divine and are already perfect. However, your Soul also understands that you have a relentless ego that keeps telling you the opposite, and so your Soul is committed to helping
you remember who you really are so you can share your unique medicine with the world.
Your Soul leads you to this remembering through the extraordinary goals it sets for you. These goals are designed to awaken you. That's why I call them extraordinary.
They arise from the premise that everything you need is already within you and so the journey of
achieving these goals will awaken you and remind you of this truth. Furthermore, these goals always bless you and the world.
So, my dears, your Soul's extraordinary are a gift for you and the collective. Remember, your Soul would never lead you to set them without also providing all of the help you need to achieve them.
