Hi everyone!
Below is a personal update for those of you
who've been asking.
Greg’s last chemo session (for now) was yesterday. 🎉
When we were first told that Greg would undergo 4 months of chemo, it felt SO daunting.
This meant 12 chemo sessions and, what seemed like, an endless array of pills at
home.
We truly didn’t know what to expect.
But we were blessed in so many ways.
Helpful doctors, kind nurses, welcomed privacy during treatment.
Overall, Greg responded amazingly well.
AND there were also challenges.
Greg developed a rare, and potentially serious, side effect to one of the medications.
The doctors found a rare genetic marker in Greg’s blood work that changed the treatment plan.
(RARE seems to be a common word for us during this journey).
So, what could’ve now been somewhat of a stopping point, is actually a few weeks respite, before we’re on to the next phase.
It’s truly been a journey of counting our blessings and processing the hard emotions.
And, for me, it’s been a journey of learning to trust my Soul even more.
It’s been a divine invitation to increase
my capacity, not from a place of fear or hustle, but from a place of trust.
Of trusting that there’s a divine plan, even when it doesn’t make logical sense.
And trusting that my Soul can handle whatever comes, even when my humanity argues that it can’t.
Most of all, trusting that this whole experience has the potential to awaken a stronger,
wiser and more compassionate version of myself.
And it’s been a calling to engage fully in life in such a powerful way.
Thank you all for your prayers and healing blessings!
Love,
Lisa
