Beloved Helper,
Next year marks the beginning of a 9-year cycle, along with the Fire Horse archetype—a cycle rich with potential for
momentum, exponential growth, and passionate creativity.
Fire Horse energy is fast-moving, visionary, bold, and stimulating.
It carries the potential to take you far—but only if you choose this possibility.
Because potential is not a
promise.
We have free will. And that means the energies available to us next year will only become lived reality if you say yes to this opportunity and if you cultivate the inner capacity to meet it.
This is why I’ve been in deep reflection about the skills that will matter most in the year ahead, especially for
heart-led helpers who want to create more impact without sacrificing their well-being.
To be clear, I’m not referring to new certifications or trainings you might pursue.
I’m referring to the day-to-day inner practices that allow you to serve from overflow rather than overwhelm.
One of the most essential practices for 2026 will be this:
Processing emotions in real time (aka feeling your feelings now, not later).
As helpers, many of us are deeply skilled at supporting others with their emotional lives.
Yet in my 15 years of coaching helpers, I’ve seen this pattern again and again:
We often don’t extend the same patience, compassion, and presence to ourselves.
In the past, you may have been able to compartmentalize emotions—
to tuck them away
and promise yourself you’d process them later.
In a Fire Horse year, that strategy will lead to burnout much faster.
Why?
Because emotions are fuel—and in Fire Horse energy, fuel is
powerful.
When emotions are processed and tended to, they fuel:
- Soul alignment
- Clarity and discernment
- Creative momentum
- Inspired ideas/empowered solutions
- Joy and flow
When emotions are left unprocessed, that same fuel ignites:
- Urgency
- Anxiety
- Reactivity
- Distraction
- Overwhelm
This has always been true.
But Fire Horse energy amplifies
everything it touches.
You might read this and think:
“So I just need to cultivate more positive emotions.”
But that’s a trap.
This human life includes
pain.
There will be moments of sadness, fear, anger, and grief.
These emotions are not a problem.
The practice isn’t avoiding them—it’s noticing them as soon as they arrive in your body.
Many of us learned early on to push uncomfortable emotions away. That response can be automatic.
But moving forward, we’re being asked to fill ourselves with more of our Soul’s light, presence, and guidance--everyday.
And when emotions pile up, they cloud access to these Soul
qualities.
They make it harder to hear the quiet wisdom, receive inspired ideas, and offer our true, authentic gifts.
