Hello, my dears, as you know there is a lot of disruption and fear right now, and I want to really acknowledge the challenges of what's unfolding. And I'm right there with you.
In my family, Greg, who is a CPS teacher, is now home for at least four more weeks. My two youngest sons, who are students at UIUC, are now also at home (at least until August). My daughters are working remotely from home. And, yes, although my kids are not little, they're needing me in different ways as all this unfolds around us.
And, of course, there have been many shifts in my work and in upcoming classes that were scheduled. I've felt the disappointment and uncertainty in this way as well. So, my dears, however all this is affecting you, know that I am thinking of you, and understand that all this can be challenging.
At the same time, I want to gently, but firmly, remind you that this is precisely the time when you're meant to share your medicine, perhaps more boldly than ever before. This is the amazing opportunity that is available to all of us right now. As the fear, confusion and even panic swirls around us, we are being invited to be sanctuaries of peace and love.
